Deicke Richards developed the master plan for this planned $200m waterside community, providing detailed site analysis, an urban design framework and built form principles.
The 33ha site is about 11km north of the Cairns CBD in Caravonica. The development proposes a range of housing types with a tropical urban character. Key features of the master plan include:
A central mixed-use area, which creates a focus for leisure and retail uses
A mix of apartments, villas and rowhouses; the built form principles encourage landscape surrounds, vertical greening and views between the picturesque and heavily vegetated hillside and open space framing the eastern frontage
A 2ha lagoon providing outlook and amenity for the residences
Buildings which are tropical in character, characterised by light and shade with generous eaves, overhangs and balconies
Shared open space and parkland, including sporting facilities for wider community access. Read More Here
